Hayfever

I have discovered a thing called “hayfever” which I seem to have caught.Since being a victim of pollen allergy I have found out that it makes you itch and also makes your eyes sweel up and weep.I have also discovered that people never seem to stop mowing grass. If it isn’t in the park it’s in gardens or verges. There seems to be no way to escape the pesky stuff. We did however discover a place, which is apparently called a wood ,where there is no mowing and lots of shade and trees to sniff.Very nice on hot days and there is a stream which all of the retrievers lay in.I’ve had a sniff at it but not too sure about walking in a very big puddle.Still there are a lot of new people to see and dogs to meet but I hope to be able to go to my usual park soon as my besxt friend Wilton walks there.Head of staff is patiently explaining to a great many people that I am in fact a Basset Hound and not a sausage dog.Well off for a nap as hayfever pills make you sleepy.I am told that if I get any more laid back I will fall over.Cheek!
