Summer is back

Summer is back and they are cutting the grass again. It’s not so bad this year as piriton and creams and eye drops are helping the dreaded hay fever. It does,of course, mean that I get extra grooming as all of my creases and under arms are cleaned and creamed three times a day.New puppies have arrived in the park and the pugalier, named Moxy, has decided to fall in love with me.This is making the humans laugh as Moxy spends a lot of time with her head in my mouth.Talking of humans,I don’t understand them at all.Last Christmas it was Curious village and this year it is More brain training. It just seems to be driving her potty as she screams”NOOOO”in capital letters and says I didn’t want to do that.I may be a Basset but I am pretty sure that you don’t get an answer when you talk to nintendo games.Someone called Michael Jackson is the main topic at the moment and head of staff says that when she saw the headline on the front page it was Deja Vou all over again as it was almost exactly the same layout as when Elvis died. Now Elvis I do know about as a day does not go by when he is not singing at me and his face adorns several walls. As a Basset I have no idea but she says the unfolding of the drama just mimicked August 16th in almost every way even down to the fact that they were both in rehearsal to go on tour. She does say, however, that she never actually “got” Michael Jackson although he obviously appealed to many people and it was quite sad that he  led such an unhappy life.No doubt the vultures will be picking his bones for some time to come so that they can get as much money out of him as possible.I find that  a sad thing and can only say that us canines never behave in that way.I am having a great time in the garden at the moment.I lay, very still,on the path and wait until I can smell a cat or a fox and then bay at my loudest.Unfortunately I then get told off and made to go inside but it is fun while it lasts.    By form Beau
