I have said it before and will say it again”SNOW is awful”It arrived overnight just before Christmas and just in time to upset my day.Alright the garden path was cleared soI could go out without walking in the stuff but if I wanted to go for a walk, which I didn’t,I had to walk in it.Never mind that it was so deep that my legs disappeared there was an added bonus of “SALT” on the road.Head of staff knew that salt is bad for the paws so took me to the park in the car.Alright in theory but forgot that I had to walk across the road to get into the park.Result salt in the paws and me having to put on my anchor after two days as my feet were hurting. She then found out that they were bleeding and felt really guilty.OK I got lots of attention b ut the moral of the story is,Sometimes it is better not to take a hound out.I was quite happy indoors as we had lots of visitors who made a great fuss of me,which I deserve, and I had a new bed which I also deserve. She has been scouring the internet for coats made for Bassets,we are quite different to other dogs, but apparently they do not exist.I find that a bit odd as we are so close to the ground that coats to cover our underside and elbows would help a lot.Anyway the white stuff has gone and mud has taken it’s place.I’m not fond of that either.Roll on dry hard ground and a happy new year to you all.
